Gavin Hellyer All 3 of these albums are, I believe, well worth your money. Though a bit different, they are essential to where Paul is at right now. Favorite track: Shiny Fake Gold.

about

Uploaded to Bandcamp for the first time in 2016.

CD version includes two extra tracks (15 in all).

The second album of lo-fi songs of ordinary life by Rooney (Paul Rooney), which has a darker, more reverb tinged feel than the first album, and introduces Colin Cromer (drums), and Ian S Jackson (bass), amongst other new collaborators.

Songs of wandering down the local shops, or looking at family holiday snaps, about overlooked moments and commonplace objects. Rooney garnered much support from BBC Radio 1's John Peel amongst others (leading to a 1998 Festive Fifty appearance, for the song 'Went to Town', and a 1999 Peel session).
